The building at Vrolikstraat 244 was purchased by Stadswacht B.V. in December 2013. At the beginning of February 2015, Stadswacht B.V. started the thorough renovation. The work included renewing the foundation and realizing an extension of 4 meters deep on the ground floor. The terraces and/or balconies on the upper floors have also been deepened to a depth of up to 2 meters. The attic has been converted into a house with a structure above it with terraces on either side. The building has been completely renovated and made more sustainable. The homes were then rented through Expat Housing.
