The office building at Westzijde 243 in Zaandam was purchased on July 21, 2016 and immediately taken over on September 15, 2016. Due to its financial strength, Stadswacht is able to purchase and dispose of real estate very quickly.

The office building with three rented shops on the ground floor is located in the center of Zaandam. The 1st and 2nd floors and the entire basement were delivered empty by the seller. On the 1st floor, large +/- 357m2, 6 one-room apartments are being developed of +/- 38m2 > 52m2. The apartments are delivered turn-key, with luxury kitchens, bathrooms and floors. The 2nd floor is just like the 1st floor +/- 357m2. Here too we are developing 6 luxury one-room apartments. I.v.m. the possibilities in the zoning plan, 5 more one-room apartments will be realized on the flat roof. These penthouses have enormous terraces on the roof. The total of 17 apartments are rented through Expat Housing. All apartments are equipped with their own central heating boiler, new window frames and parquet floors. Each apartment has a spacious storage room in the basement. Work will start in mid-April/May 2017.

In short, the building will be completely and thoroughly renovated. The homes are then rented out through Expat Housing and managed through Draijer.
